about me
Hello, my name is Zachary and I am a software developer and nerd at heart. I grew up as a farm boy in IL so I was always problem solving on a budget feeding my skills as a creative solutionist. I lived far from any real town and so out in the country I grew a love for reading and learning. With my love to solve puzzles I developed skills in gaming, building projects, and working on semis for my father. As an adult I have held my passion for learning, leading to a YouTube history full of learning everything from network protocols with NetworkChuck to exploring SalesForce scratch orgs and sandboxes to see why in the world they would use Apex as a language based on Java instead of upgrading to at least C#. It was curiosity of network protocols that lead me to get my security + certification, mostly because I spent so many hours on the topic that I felt I should show people I have a deeper understanding than just programming languages. I have a desire to become a software developer that partners with others to learn and grow and to develop solutions that make businesses thrive and life easier for others. I believe that technology, much like man, serves others to help things progress and to free up time for people so that we can concentrate on tackling the bigger problems, whatever they may be.
